Kanu Chauhan is a UK-based singer, songwriter, and music composer whose work blends cinematic storytelling with contemporary pop and indie influences. Originally from a small village near Ghaziabad, India, she discovered her passion for music at an early age through school performances, gradually developing her craft despite limited access to formal training and industry exposure.

Her professional journey began in India’s entertainment industry, where she contributed creatively to film and media projects, including work connected to the Bollywood film Love and War. She further built her experience as a lyricist and composer with Funky Media, and went on to collaborate across Bhojpuri and South Indian cinema, gaining valuable exposure to diverse musical styles and storytelling traditions.

In 2022, Kanu moved to the United Kingdom to pursue her MBA, marking a turning point in her artistic journey. Starting from scratch, she built her presence within Birmingham’s creative scene through collaboration and independent work, gradually shaping her unique musical identity.

Her releases, including Sunshine and Perfect Sign, reflect her emotional and melodic style, establishing her as an emerging independent artist with a growing international audience. She is currently also working on a film title track, further expanding her journey in cinematic music.
